Welcome to the UCLA Samueli Engineering Transfer Center!
Here, you will find information for both current transfer students at Samueli Engineering, and prospective transfer students from community colleges. Check out our events, resources, or just come hang out!
Update on Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) as of March 13, 2020 | UCLA Chancellor Gene Block informed the campus community that effective March 11, 2020, UCLA is transitioning to online learning platforms and limiting the number of people on campus in order to curb the spread of COVID-19. These changes will be in place until at least April 10, 2020.
While there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at UCLA at this time, the Engineering Transfer Center (ETC) is doing our part to reduce the density of people on campus, accommodate students in the new distance-learning model, and keep our community safe. As such, here are some changes to expect:
Student support will be handled online through the following:
- All questions and concerns can be submitted through our online Advising & Support Request Form, here.
- Drop-in appointments through Zoom or Skype can be arranged & scheduled with Peer Advisors or the Center Director by completing our Advising & Support Request Form.
ETC Staff will be working; but the Center will be closed through spring break and likely until on-campus classes resume. As such the conference/ study lounge will be closed.
ETC Events – (for current eTransfers) eTransfer Student Spring Kick-off & Townhall is scheduled for Friday, April 3 at 5PM. Details will be sent out to students. We ask that you continue to check your email for updates from the Center.
Please visit the UCLA Newsroom website for the most up-to-date information about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and impacts to campus. We also encourage current students to check their email daily for information and updates on the current situation.
We encourage everyone to submit your query to the Advising & Support Request Form. All staff will be monitoring activity there and you will receive a faster response than in email. If, however, you feel email to be the more appropriate form of communication, please feel free to contact us via email at or Wes Uehara, ETC Director, at .
