A Message From the Engineering Transfer Center
Dear Engineering Transfers,
We want to congratulate all of our eTransfer graduates who will be starting a new chapter in their life. The 2022-2023 school year was an eventful one for all of us. Congratulations on earning your degree!
We at the Engineering Transfer Center are so thankful for all of your participation with the Center during your time at UCLA. We had a very eventful year and we hope you all enjoyed everything we could offer you. From the numerous career-prep workshops to simple snack breaks at the ETC before finals, we are so happy to see everyone participating in the community. Some of our favorite events this year include the Scary-movie night for Halloween, each quarterly Kick-off social (which had a record number of attendees this year!), and a wonderful Discover UCLA event for new transfers. We cannot give enough thanks to all who helped make those events possible and for bringing the positive energy that keeps the ETC thriving year after year.
As summer approaches, we are more than excited to welcome a new group of transfers into UCLA and have very eventful HaCK and Basic Training sessions prepared for the incoming students. We’re sure it feels just like yesterday when you all went through the same onboarding process.
We hope that the lessons you have learned during your time at UCLA are ones that stick with you for life. Always and forever a Bruin. Congratulations on a successful year and for you graduating seniors; good luck in the next chapter of your life.
Dear Engineering Transfer Student graduates,
Congratulations on completing your journey here at UCLA Engineering and earning your degree. Each of you have traversed an arduous path from your prior institution to UCLA Engineering, and now to the next chapter of your life.
As you receive your degree, I would like to encourage you to reflect on the last years and think about all that you’ve experienced. All that you’ve learned; and all that you’ve discovered. My hope is that you learned as much about yourself, what you are capable of, and what your goals are, as you have learned content from your classes. Take this knowledge and memories (the good ones and the challenges you’ve persevered through) with you as you start your next chapter. Wherever you go, whatever you do; remember who you are and where you came from. Bruin Engineering is now a part of that story. You did it! Congratulations!!

In my first quarter here, I had to withdraw from all my classes due to a medical issue. I went to Wes with my issues and he is responsible for setting me up with my counselor and case manager. Without these people I would not have graduated.
