Accelerator For Engineering Transfer Students – Registration site

This is a private web page for newly admitted UCLA Engineering transfer students to register for Accelerator for UCLA Engineering Transfer Student programs. 

Before you register


    • Please review Accelerator Programs to understand the activities and purpose.  Check the calendar dates to make sure you can attend all events.  Review any prerequisites needed for participation.
    • You will note that we have program caps on certain programs as follows:
      • Basic Training – 50 participants max
      • HAcK – 50 participants max
      • Classroom Boot Camp – 50 participants max
    • Please DO NOT sign-up for an activity that you are not certain you will attend.  There will be a cancellation fee assessed for students who sign-up and do not attend, as follows:
      • Basic Training – $125 cancellation fee for anyone missing more than 1 Basic Training topic
      • HAcK – $225 cancellation fee
      • Classroom Boot Camp – $150 cancellation fee
    • Prerequisites – Students interested in participating in HAcK must complete Basic Training, eTransfer 101, and Classroom Boot Camp or CEED CISE or BREES Bridge programs.

How to register


Complete the Accelerator online registration form by Tuesday, June 17, 2022 at midnight.

 

Basic Training & HAcK participants


You will receive an email from the Engineering Transfer Center inviting you to participate in the Accelerator Program you registered for if you were accepted into the program based on the program caps.

You will need to fill out and upload your Accelerator Participation Contract (there is a contract per program) and the Accelerator Administrative Forms.   Your registration is NOT complete until these are submitted.

  • Accelerator Participation Contract(s) will be emailed to you by the program before the start of the program.  Save your file as FirstnameLastname_acceleratorprogram_contract.pdf.  For example: JoeBruin_basictraining_contract.pdf.
  • Administrative Forms
    • Activities Waiver – related to Accelerator Program activities.
    • Elective/ Voluntary Activities Waiver – related to voluntary activities that are NOT official program activities.
    • Publicity Release – allows us to take photos and use them for Marketing and Reporting purposes
    • SEASnet User Account Policy – if we need to remote desktop into UCLA Engineering
    • Put all forms into one file and save your file name as Firstname_Lastname_ParticipantForms_2021.pdf.  For example: JoeBruin_ParticipantForms_2021.pdf.
    • Link to Administrative Forms.

Face-pic – find a good, high-resolution face-pic of yourself and save the file name as Firstname_Lastname_Foto.jpg  For example: JoeBruin_Foto.jpg.

Write an auto-biographical sketch (3 – 4 sentences max).  Tell us a bit about yourself. Include your UCLA major, where you are transferring from, something you enjoy doing, something you’re looking forward to at UCLA or something you’re worried about.  You will copy and paste this into the Google Form.

Upload your materials to the Accelerator 2021 – Form Uploader Google Form.

 

Registration Tracker


  • Below is a link to the the Accelerator Registration Tracker.  This will help you to know what our office has received from you.  You can find your information by looking for the first two initials of your last name and the first two numbers of your birth month and day in the “Student Code” column. For example, if a student has the name “Joe Bruin” and their birthday is “5/23/1919” then their student code will be “BR52.”
